Swadlincote Aluminium and Welding

About us

Our History

Swadlincote Aluminium and Welding Co. Ltd was founded in 1981 by George Sutton, who originally created the company to support the tipping fleet of an associate company, Jeffrey’s Haulage (now known as R Swain & Sons) who operate from the same business park as this company.

The company was subject to a management buy-out in October 2002 by its current Directors, Rob Winfield and Carl McGoldrick and under their guidance the company has seen a period of substantial growth in its business.

Specialising in the building of commercial bodies to customer’s own specifications we benefit from a workforce with considerable experience in the disciplines involved in its business sector.

Quality Service

In recent years we have diversified and undertaken new projects such as the off-site installation of a large steel mezzanine floor at a local factory. We later provided and installed steel safety ladder supports and repaired a metal fire escape for the same client.

Our latest achievement was the installation of a wind turbine blade exhibit at The Crystal, London. Photographs of this are in the miscellaneous section of this website.

To underpin a growing reputation for the quality of our work we are committed to operating a Quality Management System that is registered to the international standard ISO 9001:2015.
